The application
Paper Cups and Foodservice
A printed cup has to survive the drink inside it and the hand around it. Hot-beverage cups need low heat exchange and a high coefficient of friction so that the formed cup can be gripped and stacked; cold-drink cups need water and condiment resistance on PE-coated board; ice-cream cones need freeze resistance and fat and oil resistance on metallised and foil paper.
We supply a separate series for each. UniHot for hot cups, UniCold for PE-coated cold cups, UniWet Glacier for ice-cream cones, and UniWet Hydra for general paper, multi-wall bags and tissue. Thermochromic grades are available to indicate the hotness of a coffee or tea.
