Setting 3 goals to improve the quality of people’s life.
Prioritizing safety
Safety is our number one priority. When it comes to workplace safety, a single accident is one too many. Our declared target is a zero-accident workplace, protecting the health and security of every employee, every shift, every day. To make certain that all of our people return home safe and unharmed each day, we rigorously apply our Life-Saving Rules and continuously strengthen our safety culture and safety leadership — from the laboratory bench to the production floor to the loading bay. Safety at Uniform Industries is not a program; it is a habit practised by everyone, led from the top, and owned by all.
Embedding diversity, equity and inclusion
Our team is the beating heart of the company, and we are committed to creating and sustaining the best possible environment for every colleague. To cement that commitment, we launched our DEI programme, One Dignity — building an open, just and equitable workplace where every employee feels valued and respected, and is free to grow, prosper and thrive. Our goal of a fully gender-balanced organisation by 2030 is only the visible tip of the iceberg. Our ambition goes further: a company where inclusion and equity are fostered daily and diversity is embraced, so that each of our people can bring their whole self to work. We safeguard the wellbeing of colleagues across every location — through policies that promote a sustainable working culture, equal access to mobility, training and development, an active speak-up culture, and benefits that go beyond local market standards. Our Code of Business Integrity paves the way toward a lasting organisation that welcomes and guarantees equal opportunity to employees of all backgrounds, ages, genders, nationalities, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, identities and abilities.
Extending maternity and paternity leave
As one of our key measures to strengthen gender equality, we have broadened our Uniform Industries cares benefits program .We adapted our common policy of 7 weeks maternity leave and amended it to one week paternity leave for co-parents employed by the company regardless of gender, by 2023.
