The application
Folding Carton
A folding carton is printed flat, coated, die-cut, creased and glued. Every one of those steps tests the coating: it must reach high gloss on the flat sheet, stay flexible enough to fold without cracking, and resist the scuff of packing and transit.
The UviCure roller-coater range covers this directly. UviCure 10RC is the standard gloss at 45±5 s and above 90 GU; UviCure 11RC handles porous stock and low print area at 65±5 s; UviCure 17RC is built for high-GSM paper with the flexibility and compressibility that book covers and heavy cartons need; and UviCure 14RC gives 95 GU with high scuff resistance on metallised PET laminated board.
