Our standard

One standard for every market

We are an export-oriented company, and every product we formulate follows European regulations for printing inks. The same specification, the same data sheets and the same technical support are supplied to customers in India and in export markets alike.

Regulatory design-in happens at formulation, not afterwards. The EU food-contact framework, the Swiss and German positive lists, PPWR design-for-recycling guidance and the Indian Plastic Waste Management Rules are all applied when the formulation is built.

The frameworks

In March 2026 the European Printing Ink Association published the first edition of its Charter on raw material selection and exclusion, replacing the Exclusion Policy referenced by the industry since 2016.

The Charter keeps the explicit exclusions — heavy-metal pigments, named solvents, hazardous plasticisers — and adds a risk-based tier for hazardous substances, requiring substitution of non-threshold substances within a year. We have assessed our complete range against the Charter and updated our data sheets to reference it in place of the Exclusion Policy.

Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 is the framework regulation: materials must not transfer constituents to food in quantities that endanger health or change the food, and Article 17 requires traceability.

Regulation (EU) 10/2011 sets the plastics rules and the migration testing protocols. Our low-migration grades are tested to those protocols by an accredited laboratory, returning overall migration below 1 mg/dm² and specific migration of photoinitiators and acrylates below 10 µg/kg at the recommended ink load and cure.

TPO was reclassified as reprotoxic category 1B under CLP in 2025 and added to the EuPIA Charter exclusion list, which removed the industry’s workhorse LED photoinitiator.

Our UV ranges are free of TPO. Reformulation moved to BAPO, polymeric phosphine oxides and multifunctional acylphosphine derivatives that offer the same long-wave absorption with far lower migration and no restricted classification.

The Swiss Ordinance on materials and articles in contact with food, and the German positive lists, define the substances permitted on the non-food-contact side of food packaging. Our low-migration inks and coatings are built from listed substances, and the status of each grade is stated on its data sheet.

The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation makes recyclability a legal design requirement: all packaging on the EU market must be recyclable by 2030 and recycled at scale by 2035, with graded performance classes and rising recycled-content obligations.

We design for that outcome: de-inkable water-based and UV systems tested to INGEDE Method 11 and the EPRC scorecard, NIR-sortable blacks that keep dark packs in the sorting stream, and repulpable barrier coatings qualified against the Cepi recyclability method.

Raw materials are REACH registered. Our ranges meet RoHS, and grades intended for toys and childrens products comply with EN 71-3 on the migration of certain elements. Pad printing ranges additionally carry CLP/GHS classification data, ISO 10993 cytotoxicity results where medical grade, and Eco-Passport certification on selected series.

How we work
