Overview
Gravure-applied UV overprint varnish
Gravure application demands a lower viscosity than roller coating, because the coating has to release cleanly from the engraved cells at speed. Our gravure UV grades are formulated at medium to low viscosity while holding gloss above 90 GU.
Because of the low viscosity and high hardness, the coatings reach the required result at low coat weight with good gloss retention.

UviCure 21RC
Gloss OPV for gravure, medium viscosity, 35±5 s Ford B4. For chromo and coated paper over water-based and solvent-based NC inks. Water resistance above 200 rubs.
UviCure 22RC
Fast-curing, high-slip gloss OPV for gravure, coefficient of friction below 0.2.
UviCure 23RC
High-resistance OPV for gravure application.
