Overview
Designed for the hot cup
UniHot is a special ink system suitable for a variety of coated and uncoated papers and board. The inks are designed for low heat exchange, making them suitable for hot-beverage cups, and are particularly suited to providing a print surface with a high coefficient of friction for cup fabrication.
The full colour range is available in high-purity pigments, and special colours can be provided to requirement. Only compliant raw materials and pigments are used in this system.
Special thermochromic inks are also available, used to indicate the hotness of the coffee or tea.
Grades in this series
Low slip
High coefficient of friction for cup forming. CoF depends on the type and quality of substrate printed.
Rub resistance
Good rub resistance, which can be enhanced on coated board by applying UniCoat OPV 301.
Heat resistance
Designed with high heat resistance and hot resistance.
Printability
Good printability for halftone as well as solid printing, low foaming for high-speed presses.
Thermochromic
Special thermochromic grades indicate the hotness of the drink.
