Overview
Built for the cold, wet cup
UniCold inks are formulated for PE-coated cups as well as paper and board tableware and other paper substrates where good water resistance and resistance to the condiments used in the fast-food industry is required.
These inks are suited to indirect food contact applications only. Surface treatment of the polyethylene must be at least 38 dyne/cm² to ensure adequate adhesion and ink resistance properties.
Grades in this series
Water and beverage resistance
Good resistance to water and to the beverage the cup carries.
Fat and oil resistance
Good resistance to fats and oils from fast-food service.
Adhesion
Good adhesion to treated polyethylene at 38 dyne/cm² or above.
Scratch and scuff
Good scratch and scuff resistance through stacking and dispensing.
Printability
Good printability for both line and tone work, low foaming.
Freeze-thaw
Good freeze-thaw stability.
