Overview
Better finishes on a porous substrate
Wood is a very porous material. Used in structures or products it needs a coating to stop it degrading, and conventional coatings have historically released solvent to achieve that. A UV-cured coating hardens under the lamp instead, which removes the solvent and the drying time together.
Three routes are available. A 100 % solids UV coating works directly on wood and cures instantly. A solvent-based UV system gives more resistance and better adhesion with good coverage at minimal thickness and fast cure. A water-based UV system is the lowest-emission option, dries fast, coats large objects easily and gives good coverage with light stability.

Solvent-Based UV
More resistance and adhesion, good coverage at minimal thickness, fast cure.
Water-Based UV
Lowest emission, fast drying, easy coating of large objects, good light stability.
UniScreen-7Wood
Two-pack screen ink system for printing on wood, over-coatable with these finishes.
