Uniform Industries has extended its UniCure narrow-web coating range with grades built for specific label applications. ASC 88RC is an anti-static, benzophenone-free gloss OPV for in-mould labels that dissipates surface charge so that robots pick one label at a time; TLC 85RC is a non-abrasive coating for thermal-transfer and direct-thermal labels; TLC 87RC is a flexible, product-resistant varnish for laminated-tube web; PBC 86RC is a release coating for piggy-back and re-positionable labels; and SRC 89RC is the highest-scratch-resistance gloss OPV in the range. All are 100 % solids UV systems with no VOC emission on cure.
