Overview
Making glass more useful
Glass is used in homes, workplaces, vehicles and eyewear, but it transmits ultraviolet radiation, causes glare and scratches easily. A UV-cured coating can address all three.
A coating reduces the amount of ultraviolet radiation passing through, which protects people behind automotive glazing and eyewear and protects film or digital sensors in imaging applications. The same coating process can impart scratch resistance, anti-fogging and glare reduction, which is why it is used on personal electronics and mobile device glass.
